A lawyer by training from Christ College, Bengaluru, Kazim Rizvi has emerged as one of the most important voices in India’s public policy space. He founded The Dialogue, noted by the University of Pennsylvania as one of the top 10 global think tanks to watch out for and leads a team of researchers working on a broad range of pressing public policy issues.
The Dialogue has established itself as a leading think tank that works closely with the government, legislators, bureaucrats and civil society to drive change in policy through cutting edge research and multi-stakeholder consultations.
He has led policy communications for the British High Commission, and was a Swaniti Fellow with the office of the former Member of Parliament, Baijayant Panda.
A widely published columnist he writes regularly on the intersection of technology, public policy and politics and is frequently sought after as a commentator on television.
As an entrepreneur he established The Dialogue’s credentials by directing research on a range of intractable issues on privacy, data protection, intermediary liabilities, data localisation and encryption among others. He has worked closely with the various union ministries and a host of Parliamentarians to further good public policies.
He has also done extensive work on India’s Start Up ecosystem, closely examining the impact of policies on them and finding ways to establish regulatory sandboxes that allows space for innovation and tech entrepreneurship.
As a Co-Founder at DeepStrat, Kazim Rizvi brings a decade of experience on public policy, technology, Start Ups and his networks.
